Argo Contemporary Art Museum
2014-2021
Designed during a challenging Iranian socio-political climate spanning the years between 2017 and 2020, this project takes influence from the brutal sanctions, travel bans and incredibly isolating experience of the global pandemic.
With an emphasis on local sustainability and native craftsmen, a "Collective Intimacy" was realised among designers and architects to create this unique space that welcomes visitors to the city of Tehran.

M.A Textile Musuem

The revival of the Shaarbaafi industry in Kashan, Isfahan and the collection of textiles and heritage pieces produced by local weavers are essential components in the creation of a museum dedicated to the textile and Shaarbaafi heritage of the region. Such a museum would celebrate the rich history and cultural significance of these traditional crafts, while also providing a platform for ongoing innovation and creativity in the field. By showcasing the exquisite textiles and heritage pieces produced by the Shaarbaafi weavers of Kashan, the museum would offer a glimpse into the past while also highlighting the continued relevance and vitality of these ancient techniques. Through interactive exhibits, workshops, and other educational programs, visitors would have the opportunity to learn about the history, culture, and craft of Shaarbaafi weaving, and to engage with the weavers and artisans who continue to shape this vibrant tradition.
